Transposed Output
—
Your CSV data is processed locally in this browser and is not uploaded to Flipper File. Quoted fields, escaped quotes, delimiters inside quotes, and line breaks inside quoted fields are supported. Very large tables are capped at 500,000 parsed cells to protect browser memory.
CSV Column to Row Converter
This CSV transposer swaps the axes of a table so each input column becomes an output row and each input row becomes an output column. It works with pasted CSV data or local CSV files and does not require Excel or a server upload.
What Does Transposing CSV Data Do?
For example, this input:
Name,Age,City Alice,30,New York Bob,25,London
becomes:
Name,Alice,Bob Age,30,25 City,New York,London
How to Convert CSV Columns to Rows
- Paste CSV data or upload a CSV file.
- Use automatic delimiter detection or choose the delimiter manually.
- Select output formatting and uneven-row behavior.
- Click Transpose CSV.
- Review, copy, or download the result.
Quoted CSV Fields
Properly quoted fields may contain commas, quotes, and line breaks. The converter parses those fields before transposing and writes valid quoting back to the output when needed.
Uneven Rows
If one input row has fewer fields than another, choose whether to pad missing cells with blanks or require every row to contain the same number of fields. The diagnostics report how many cells were padded.
Supported Delimiters
Comma, tab, semicolon, pipe, and custom single-character delimiters are supported. Input and output delimiters can differ, so the tool can also perform simple delimiter conversion while transposing.
