Delete Pages from PDF

Removing pages from a PDF used to require Adobe Acrobat or some other paid desktop software. This free tool lets you do it entirely in your browser — no installation, no account, and no file upload:

  1. Upload your PDF — click the upload box or drag and drop your file directly onto it.
  2. Select pages to delete — click any page thumbnail to mark it for removal. Selected pages are highlighted in red. Use the Select All, Deselect All, or Invert buttons to manage large documents faster.
  3. Delete and download — click Delete Selected to remove the pages, then Download PDF to save the modified file. The original is never touched.

You can repeat the selection and deletion process as many times as needed before downloading — each pass updates the page thumbnails so you always see exactly what the final file will contain.

Who Needs a PDF Page Remover?

There are a lot of situations where you end up with a PDF that has pages you don't want. A few common ones:

  • Scanned documents — a scan often picks up blank pages, cover sheets, or separator pages that should be stripped before sharing.
  • Exported reports — software exports frequently include a title page, a blank trailing page, or appendices you don't need to send.
  • Contracts and forms — you may need to remove signature pages, instruction pages, or sections that aren't relevant to a specific recipient.
  • Merged PDFs — when you combine multiple PDFs, duplicate pages or mismatched sections sometimes sneak in.
  • Ebooks and guides — trimming front matter, copyright pages, or filler content to create a leaner reading file.

Your File Never Leaves Your Browser

This tool runs 100% client-side using PDF-Lib for editing and PDF.js for thumbnail rendering. When you upload a PDF, it's read directly into memory by your browser — no data is transmitted to any server. That makes this safe to use with confidential documents: legal filings, financial statements, medical records, internal reports, or anything else you wouldn't want passing through a third-party service.

Once you close the browser tab, nothing is retained. There's no history, no account, and no stored files.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this work on large PDFs?

Yes. Since processing happens in your browser, performance depends on your device rather than a server queue. Most PDFs under 100MB open without issue. Very large files (hundreds of pages at high resolution) may take a moment to render thumbnails but will still process correctly.

Will the output file quality be affected?

No. PDF-Lib removes pages structurally without re-encoding, compressing, or touching the remaining content. Text, images, fonts, and vector graphics stay at their original quality.

Can I undo a deletion?

Not after clicking Delete Selected — once pages are removed, they're gone from the in-memory document. If you need to start over, just re-upload your original file. It's a good habit to keep the original in a separate folder before editing.

Does this work on mobile?

Yes. The tool is fully browser-based and works on current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on both desktop and mobile. Tap page thumbnails to select them just like you would on desktop.

What if I only want to keep a few pages from a long PDF?

Use the Select All button to mark every page, then individually deselect the pages you want to keep — or use Invert after selecting only the keepers. That flips the selection so everything except your chosen pages is marked for deletion.
