How to View TIFF Files Online
Opening a .tif or .tiff file shouldn't require expensive software. This free TIFF viewer runs entirely in your browser — just drop a file onto the page or click Choose File to get started. Your image renders instantly and never leaves your device.
What This Tool Does
This is a client-side TIFF image viewer built for speed and privacy. It decodes standard and multi-page TIFF files locally using JavaScript, then renders each page to an HTML canvas. You can zoom in and out, pan across large images, navigate between pages, and export any page as a PNG file — all without creating an account or uploading anything to a server.
Multi-Page TIFF Support
Many TIFF files, especially scanned documents, fax archives, and medical images, contain multiple pages in a single file. The sidebar shows a thumbnail for every page so you can jump between them with one click. Page dimensions are displayed alongside each thumbnail, and the detail bar shows the current page's resolution at a glance.
Zoom, Pan, and Navigate
Use the toolbar to zoom in or out, fit the image to your screen, or view it at its native 1:1 resolution. Click and drag on the canvas to pan across large or zoomed-in images. On desktop you can also hold Ctrl and scroll to zoom smoothly. Keyboard shortcuts are available too: arrow keys to change pages, + and − to zoom, and 0 to reset to actual size.
Export Pages as PNG
Need a single page in a more common format? Click Download Page as PNG to save the currently displayed page as a .png file. This is useful when you need to share one page from a multi-page TIFF, insert it into a document, or upload it to a platform that doesn't accept TIFF files.
Supported TIFF Formats
The viewer handles a wide range of TIFF compression and color types including uncompressed, LZW, JPEG-in-TIFF, Deflate, and PackBits compression. Color modes supported include RGB, grayscale, CMYK, YCbCr, palette-indexed, and 16-bit-per-channel images. If a multi-page file contains a page that can't be decoded, that page is skipped and the rest are still displayed normally.
100% Private — Nothing Leaves Your Device
Every step of the process — reading the file, decoding the image data, rendering thumbnails and the main canvas — happens locally in your browser using JavaScript. No data is sent to any server. There are no analytics, no cookies, and no sign-up. Close the tab and your file is gone.
