Some HEIC files contain more than one image. Main image is the simplest choice for normal phone photos.
TIFF is uncompressed here, so resizing can reduce the output size substantially.
TIFF output uses uncompressed 8-bit RGBA pixels. It preserves the decoded image, including transparency, but does not restore extra detail lost in the original HEIC compression.
